Ever so often in this journey called life, I have come across people who radiate with charm, humility, personality and a sense of knowing what they want from life. Delroy Souden is no exception.
Delroy has done quite well in the gospel music arena. He's shared stages with some of gospel music's stellar artists including Natalie Wilson (S.O.P Chorale), Kenny Bobien, EMI's Londa Larmond, MCA's Youth Edition, Eastern Michigan Mass Choir and Christopher "Play" Martin to name a few. In July of 2002 Delroy performed at the International Urban Music Conference in Chicago, Illinois to great response and a packed house. He got his start at West Indies College, Jamaica (now Northern Caribbean University). Delroy migrated to the United States in 1989 and has ministered to audiences all across the United States and Canada.
He has entered and won Silver, Gold and Bronze medals in national music competitions and has sang with several groups and choirs. He's also performed for Jamaica's former Minister of Education, Dr. Mavis Gilmour on her visit to West Indies College in the late eighties. In November of 2001, Delroy released his debut maxi single Holy Fire on his own label, En Sound Entertainment to raved reviews and has been interviewed by radio personalities throughout the Northeast. Delroy does numerous concerts each year and most recently performed at the grand opening of Club Praize in East Orange, New Jersey. He has been featured in the Love Express Christian Newspaper as the local artist for the month of April 2002, and was humbled by the fact that he was chosen given the fact that his full length project had not yet been released.
Delroy has received raved reviews since the release of his debut release No Doubt form Gospel Flava, The Gospel Crib, Kay3 Music, Nu Flava Magazine in Britain and Farwest Records in Japan. Delroy's mission is to sing simple songs for the mighty king, so that those within the hearing of his voice may be drawn closer to Christ. Delroy has worked with some very talented producers on his No Doubt project and is excited about his future in ministry. He continues to write as often as He is inspired and knows that Christ who has bestowed on him the gift of music, will reward his efforts in His own timing.
Delroy is a firm believer of Phillipians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
